LIVE: PM Modi To Meet Xi Jinping As India, China Ties Reset Gains Momentum | S Jaishankar | Wang Yi

In a major diplomatic reset, India and China have agreed to revive border trade, resume direct flights, and resolve border delimitation issues on Tuesday (August 19). Relations between the two countries have been strained since the 2020 Galwan Valley clashes. On Tuesday, India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi co-chaired the 24th round of Special Representatives’ dialogue on the boundary question in New Delhi. China’s Wang Yi also met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, who hailed the improving diplomatic ties in a post on X. He is set to meet President Xi in Tianjin on the sidelines of the upcoming SCO Summit.
