Thousands of mourners have gathered in Tehran as Iran begins the funeral procession of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was killed in a US-Israeli airstrike in February. Crowds lined the streets carrying Iranian flags and portraits of Khamenei, while some displayed posters targeting US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The ceremony also featured chants against the United States and Israel and calls for revenge from some mourners. Beyond the funeral, Iran announced new transit charges for ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz, while indicating that friendly countries, including China and India, would receive special consideration. Meanwhile, the Iranian Embassy in New Delhi thanked India for participating in the state funeral, calling it a gesture that strengthened bilateral ties. Gursshheen Gahllen tells you more.
