LIVE: India Successfully Executes ISRO-led SpaDeX Docking, Becomes Fourth Nation to Achieve this

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully completed the docking of the Space Docking Experiment (SpaDeX) satellites on Thursday, marking a historic achievement. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated ISRO and the space community on the success. ISRO had previously missed two docking attempts on January 7 and 9 due to technical issues. The satellites were launched on December 30, and on January 12, ISRO confirmed a successful trial, bringing the two satellites within 3 to 15 meters of each other. The SpaDeX mission aimed to demonstrate the technology for docking small satellites, with the Chandrayaan-4 mission next in line.
