Israel Intensifies Gaza Assault | Netanyahu: 100,000 Flee to Humanitarian Zone
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced that Israel is “intensifying operations” in Gaza City, both on its outskirts and inside. He said the army is targeting “terror infrastructures” and “incriminated towers,” while also establishing an additional humanitarian zone. According to Netanyahu, nearly 100,000 Palestinians have fled Gaza to these designated safe areas.
The Gaza health ministry, considered reliable by the UN, reports that over 64,000 Palestinians — mostly civilians — have been killed since the start of Israel’s offensive. Meanwhile, families in Gaza mourn children pulled from under the rubble after deadly airstrikes, including one on a school shelter in central Gaza City.
