Vancouver Canadians infielder Arjun Nimmala, who was selected 20th overall by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2023 Major League Baseball draft, hopes to inspire a future generation of baseball players of Indian descent. CBC’s Zameer Karim met with the 19-year-old ahead of a recent game at Nat Bailey Stadium.

CORRECTION (May 24, 2025): An earlier version of this video incorrectly stated that Toronto Blue Jays prospect Arjun Nimmala would be the first major league player of Indian descent. In fact, that honour went to Kumar Rocker in 2024.
