Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthi movement claims it struck Saudi Arabia’s Ras Tanura oil refinery with a ballistic missile, raising fresh concerns over the kingdom’s energy infrastructure and oil exports. The group’s military spokesperson said the attack caused a fire at the complex, which also houses a shipping terminal, but Saudi authorities had not immediately confirmed the strike. Ras Tanura is a major Saudi oil export hub with a reported capacity of 550,000 barrels per day. The claimed attack comes amid intensifying hostilities between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia, with wider regional tensions adding to concerns over energy supplies and shipping routes. What could further attacks mean for Saudi oil exports and global markets?
