Misri’s personal social media account was targeted, and his daughter’s contact details were maliciously shared, prompting widespread outrage.
Despite the committee’s inclination to pass a formal resolution, Misri requested against it, leading to a collective verbal expression of support. Tharoor emphasized the committee’s unanimous sentiment: “We all stand with him.” The National Commission for Women also condemned the breach of privacy and called for respectful discourse.
