FOUR children were among more than 47 people injured when a car ploughed into a crowd of fans celebrating Liverpool FC’s victory parade.
A 53-year-old white British man from Liverpool was arrested at the scene and is thought to have been the driver of the car, police said.
Some 27 injured people were rushed to hospital – two with serious injuries – and 20 were treated at the scene, with more patients self-presenting later on, the North West Ambulance Service said.
Merseyside Police said the incident is not being treated as terror-related and they are not looking for anyone else in connection with it.
