Scott Bessent, speaking on Fox Business’s Mornings with Maria, acknowledged that there are no new tariff deals lined up by the July 9 deadline, effectively admitting the administration won’t hit its “90 deals in 90 days” target. He clarified that negotiations with around 18 countries are ongoing, but said that most of the deals won’t wrap up until Labor Day (around September 1)
