Stanisław Trzeciak was born on 25 October 1873 in the village of Rudna Wielka, then part of Austria-Hungary. During the First World War, which lasted from 28 July 1914 to 11 November 1918, he co-founded the Polish Society for Aid to War Victims. While Trzeciak remained active in religious and academic circles, the 1930s marked a dark turn in his public life, as he became known as one of the country’s most prominent antisemites. Far from being passive in his views, Trzeciak actively promoted antisemitic policies and rhetoric. He traveled across Poland, delivering inflammatory lectures in which he called for the isolation and eventual expulsion of Jews from the country. His lectures often incited antisemitic incidents.Trzeciak authored numerous books, many addressing what he called the “Jewish question.” The majority of his writings were political and antisemitic in nature. He propagated conspiracy theories suggesting a global plot by influential Jewish circles to dominate the world and destroy Latin civilization and Catholicism. He fully believed in the authenticity of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion – a fabricated text purporting to detail a Jewish plot for world domination – and used his platform to spread this myth. Trzeciak did not believe in the sincerity of Jewish conversions to Christianity, claiming that baptized Jews only adopted a Catholic façade while secretly continuing to serve Jewish interests. According to him, “baptized Jews render invaluable services to Jewry, working quietly but effectively for the Jewish cause; without them, Israel could not penetrate the souls and hearts.”
