The European Union has designated Iran’s most powerful military unit—the Revolutionary Guard—as a terrorist organisation. That’s after it participated in a crackdown on protests recently. The EU has also imposed sanctions on Iranian officials and entities for human rights violations and sending weapons to Russia.
