(BJP) has launched its week-long Har Ghar Tiranga campaign across Maharashtra, ahead of Independence Day on August 15. This year, the campaign comes with a clear focus on Gen Z and Gen Alpha, as the party plans special outreach programmes to connect younger audiences with patriotism, the national flag and cultural nationalism.
The campaign began on August 10 and will continue till August 15, with events being organised across Maharashtra. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis joined the Har Ghar Tiranga rally in Mumbai’s Worli, as the BJP stepped up its public mobilisation ahead of Independence Day.
The youth-focused campaign also comes after the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protests, which began at Jantar Mantar and saw their impact spread to several cities, including Mumbai. The protests were followed by political developments, including the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
With Gen Z and Gen Alpha now at the centre of its outreach, the BJP is looking to take the message of desh bhakti and cultural nationalism to a younger generation.
