There seems to be no credible evidence suggesting that China has issued a public warning to Russia demanding them to “get out.” In fact, China and Russia are currently engaging in joint military exercises, particularly around the Sea of Japan, as part of deepening their strategic partnership. These exercises are intended to counter the growing military cooperation between the United States and its allies in the Indo-Pacific region, including Japan.
The military drills between China and Russia, which began in early September 2024, demonstrate a shared intent to strengthen their defence ties and enhance their capabilities in areas like logistics and communications. Both countries are using these exercises to respond to perceived threats from the U.S. and NATO allies, particularly in sensitive regions like the Taiwan Strait and the South China Sea.
Though their cooperation is significant, analysts note that China and Russia’s military collaboration remains limited in some respects, such as the lack of full interoperability between their forces. Nonetheless, these exercises underscore the geopolitical complexities in Asia and how both nations are positioning themselves in response to Western military influence
