Bodycam footage showing UK police handcuffing an 18-year-old stabbing victim while his attacker stood nearby has sparked outrage across Britain.
University student Henry Nowak died after a knife attack in Southampton in December 2025, despite telling officers he had been stabbed. Nearby, 23-year-old Vickrum Digwa told police he had been the victim of a racist attack by Nowak, who was white.
But a court later found the claim was false and convicted Digwa, who is Sikh, of murder. Digwa was sentenced on Monday (Jun 1) to life in prison with a minimum term of 21 years.
