A violent mob attacked a concert venue in Faridpur, Bangladesh, where popular singer James was scheduled to perform. The concert, organised to commemorate the anniversary of a local school, was thrown into chaos as attackers stormed the stage and reportedly hurled bricks at the crowd. At least 25 people were reported injured, and the event was forced to be cancelled. Witnesses say panic spread among organisers and attendees, forcing James to flee the venue. The attack comes amid rising unrest in Bangladesh since December 18, including riots, arson, and targeted violence against the minority Hindu community. Several media offices, cultural organisations, and homes of political leaders have also been attacked in recent days, raising growing concerns about safety at public and cultural events. The unrest followed the killing of student leader Osman Hadi in Dhaka.
