Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has announced a new tax deduction at the Labor election campaign launch in Perth.
It’s an instant $1,000 tax cut for work-related expenses with no documentation necessary.
“No paperwork, no box of receipts, no scrolling through your online banking – just tick the box and your return is ready,” Mr Albanese said.
He also outlined the government’s proposed policy allowing all first home buyer’s to purchase with a 5% deposit, avoiding lenders mortgage insurance.
He also committed to $10 billion to build 100,000 new homes exclusively for first home buyers.
