In the midst of a housing crisis where Australians are looking for extra space, outdoor pods have become popular in suburban backyards.
But they don’t come cheap and customers of one business say they were targeted after leaving negative reviews online. Kamin Gock reports.
Editor’s note: After this story was published, Space Haven contacted the ABC to make us aware of further information regarding these customers and its business procedures. As a result the story has been updated. Space Haven is not responsible for installation of its products and Mr Fitzpatrick engaged a third party to install his pod. Space Haven maintains that under the terms of her contract Ms Kang does not have a right to the refund of her deposit. Ms Kang’s contract states that the product goes into production once the first instalment is paid, something Ms Kang did not do.
