Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers rallies supporters in Michigan on Election Day, making his final pitch in a closely watched contest against Democrat Abdul El-Sayed. The race has been thrown into the national spotlight after Democratic Congresswoman Haley Stevens stunned her party by endorsing Rogers, just days after initially backing El-Sayed. Donald Trump welcomed the endorsement, while Democrats condemned Stevens’ decision and several members of her staff resigned. With control of the US Senate at stake, Rogers seeks to capitalise on the Democratic Party’s divisions as Michigan voters head to the polls.
