Far-right AfD wins first state parliament speaker post in Germany | DW News

The AfD has become the first far-right party since World War II to secure the post of speaker in a German state parliament. The breakthrough came in Saxony-Anhalt, where the party scored a landslide victory in last month’s election and is now setting its sights on leading a state government.
