Sustainability and the Environment Minister Grace Fu says Singapore cannot be a passive bystander in the face of climate change. This is as the country is a small, low-lying island with an economy vulnerable to global climate shocks. Ms Fu adds the sustainability push will involve trade-offs, including between cost and resilience, as well as growth and resource use.
