Navi Mumbai’s much-awaited Sanpada Central Library is nearing its inauguration, bringing books, digital learning, competitive exam preparation, art and culture together under one roof. Developed by the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, the ₹41.11 crore project spans nearly 3,800 sq m and features a basement and five floors.
The library will include an e-library, reading zones, Braille section, language laboratory, competitive exam classrooms, art gallery, seminar hall, 130-seat auditorium, exhibition spaces and a green rooftop seating area.
The fifth floor will focus on competitive exam preparation, with classrooms for students preparing for UPSC, MPSC, banking, railway and other examinations. The project also includes solar energy systems, accessible parking, EV charging and dedicated spaces for senior citizens.
Once inaugurated, the Sanpada Central Library is expected to become a major knowledge, educational and cultural hub for Navi Mumbai.
