New Delhi: Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Mahua Moitra demanded that the Union Home Minister address Parliament over the police action during the Jantar Mantar protests.
Speaking to the media, Moitra said that since the events of July 20, the Opposition has been seeking an explanation from the Home Minister, noting that the Delhi Police, CRPF, and RAF fall under his administrative responsibility.
She argued that if the Home Minister had ordered the police action, he should be held accountable, and if he was unaware of it, he should explain why. Moitra called on the Home Minister to either make a statement in Parliament or publicly respond to the issue.
