For nearly 45 days, a family in Agra believed they were searching for a missing man. But police now say Surendra Sharma had allegedly been killed and buried under the bathroom floor of his own house. The case comes from Renuka Dham Colony in Agra’s Sikandra area, where police have arrested his wife, Ruby Sharma, for allegedly murdering him and hiding his body beneath concrete and fresh tiles.
According to investigators, the case may be linked to years of alleged domestic violence, alcohol addiction, financial stress and repeated assaults. Reports suggest Ruby allegedly mixed sleeping pills in kheer before the murder, though the exact cause of death will be confirmed after the post-mortem report. Police also found suspicious ATM withdrawals from a family pension-linked account after Surendra was reported missing. On July 3, police dug up the bathroom floor and recovered skeletal remains believed to be his. Investigators are now probing whether Ruby acted alone or if others helped her conceal the body.
