Punjab Kings cricketer Shashank Singh has responded to the FIR registered against him and his father over allegations of assaulting and verbally abusing a staff member in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
Addressing the allegations, Shashank denied holding the individual hostage or assaulting him. He claimed the person had arrived claiming to be a cook but did not possess cooking skills and was allegedly recording videos and taking photographs inside the house. Shashank said his family became suspicious after finding private photos and videos on the individual’s phone and asked him to delete them.
He further stated that the police have not contacted him so far and maintained that anyone who knows him would know that physical violence is “completely out of the question.” The matter remains under investigation, and the allegations have not been adjudicated.
