Not all German Panzer units surrendered on 8 May 1945 – many drifted in over the next couple of days. But three units did not surrender until WEEKS after VE-Day, remaining in charge of operational tanks, one even taking part in active fighting! Who were these units and where were they in Europe? It is a fascinating story.
