India has delivered a sharp rebuttal to Pakistan at the United Nations Security Council after Islamabad once again raised the issue of Jammu & Kashmir and spoke about regional peace and international law. Responding at the UNSC Open Debate, India’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Harish Parvathaneni, highlighted Pakistan of supporting cross-border terrorism and said there would be consequences for sponsoring terror.
India reiterated that Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh remain an integral part of India and once again rejected CPEC projects passing through territory claimed by India. At the same time, Beijing and Islamabad have pledged to deepen strategic cooperation and revive momentum around CPEC.
