A new reminiscence programme in Queenstown is turning a popular hawker centre into a hub for seniors to build social connections and support their cognitive health. During weekly sessions, volunteers will engage seniors — including those with dementia — using board games and guided chats. Organisers plan to expand this to more locations and train hundreds of facilitators. This is to promote active and connected ageing across Singapore’s neighbourhoods. Nadine Yeam reports.
