A US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent was seen spraying a chemical irritant directly in a woman’s face as federal agents clashed with citizen protesters in Mankato, Minnesota, on Monday, January 12.
Footage filmed by Ava Corey-Gruenes shows a masked ICE agent getting out of a car and telling protesters to move from in front of the vehicle.
“You gotta move. I’m not going to tell you again, you gotta move. Get out of the way,” the agent can be heard saying before lifting up a canister and spraying Corey-Gruenes in the face.
The same agent was accused of carrying bear spray by a protester in another video from the scene.
“I don’t pose a threat,” Corey-Gruenes was heard saying to the ICE agent before being sprayed.
