Russian President Vladmir Putin has met with a US delegation inside the Kremlin, for talks aimed at moving closer to ending the war in Ukraine.
US special envoy Steve Witkoff and Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner presented a revised version of a 28-point peace plan that had been criticised for being too closely aligned to Russian war goals. Ukraine requested the the revisions, and has now tentatively backed the new draft. The Kremlin described the talks as “useful” – but said there’d been no compromise on territory.
