In the West Bank village of Kubar, northwest of Ramallah, Palestinian farmers were fired upon by Israeli forces while trying to harvest their olives — despite a Supreme Court order granting them access to their land.
Witnesses said Israeli settlers, backed by soldiers, tried to block the farmers from reaching their groves.
Palestinian farmer Fahd Abu al-Hajj said they came peacefully to pick their crops, following the court’s ruling, but were met with live fire instead.
The incident reflects the daily struggles of Palestinian farmers facing settler intimidation and military force during the olive harvest — a lifeline for many families in the occupied West Bank.
