President Trump claims to have found the “answer” to autism.

In a press conference at the White House on Monday, he is expected to link the use of the painkiller Tylenol — an American brand of paracetamol — by pregnant women to a higher risk of autism in their children.

Scientific experts say there is no robust evidence or convincing studies that link paracetamol with autism and condemn ‘fearmongering’.

The US government is likely to advise women to stop using the painkiller in early pregnancy.
