Crew members of the Axiom-4 Mission, along with Shubhanshu Shukla, were welcomed onboard the International Space Station (ISS) after their successful docking on Thursday. “The four passengers got their first look at their home in low Earth orbit,” NASA said. Footage shows the crew members exiting the hatch and being welcomed with warm hugs by the crew stationed at the ISS. Indian astronaut Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla greeted viewers saying “Namaskar from space” after reaching orbit on Axiom Mission 4. He expressed excitement and held a soft toy swan, saying it symbolises wisdom in Indian culture. Shukla is piloting the private spaceflight organised by Axiom Space, which includes an international crew.
