Palestinians in Gaza City on Saturday (June 7) inspected the damage following an Israeli strike that killed several people, including children, according to medics.

Mourners gathered near the shrouded bodies of family members killed in the strike during the Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha.

“Children are supposed to be in amusement parks, gardens and parks … However, we are pulling our children out from under the rubble in torn pieces,” said a Gaza City resident sitting amongst the rubble.

“Eid clothes have become the white shroud,” he added.

The Israeli military has intensified its operations in Gaza since breaking a fragile ceasefire with Hamas in March, taking more territory with the government pushing to wipe out Hamas.
