Contact tracing is vital in breaking the chain of coronavirus infections. Apps do some of the work, but much of it is manual. And when COVID19 rates surge, keeping track of endless lists of contacts is almost impossible. Experts say that’s not an argument against contact tracing. Rather they say it needs to be ramped up and sped up. Turkey is one example of where contact tracing was working. But new infections are on the rise again. And critics blame the Turkish government for that.
