OVER 7.2 MILLION GLOBAL COVID-19 CASES: Officials from the World Health Organization hold a briefing on the latest developments of the global coronavirus outbreak. Yesterday the WHO walked back statements they had made about a lack of asymptomatic transmission, saying that their models actually show up to 40% of transmissions may be through asymptomatic infections. This morning Dr. Anthony Fauci of NIH further explained their statement to ABC, calling their original assessment ‘not correct,’ and adding that ‘we know from epidemiological studies that they can transmit to someone who is uninfected, even when they’re without symptoms.’ This comes after the WHO recently reported the highest rate of new global cases over the weekend, as there are over 7.2 million infections around the world and over 412,000 people have died.
