Fear is a powerful powerful emotion. Shruti Pathak discusses the neurological mechanism behind this emotion and how we can control our mind-controlling fears. I’m a 16 year old student who likes to draw, watch shows, and sleep in my free time (or when I’m supposed to be studying). I’m also someone who feels like an absolute narcissist when I write a paragraph about myself, but here’s my shot at it anyway. I’m a personified oxymoron, a labeled pessimist who wants to desperately better the world; and I do it the only way I know how: by creation, by expression, and by trying to be the best version of myself (that last one’s still a work in progress). I think I’m too young to know my place in the universe right now, but I hope my efforts have made a dent in its expanse. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
