A British woman who claims to have been gang raped by 12 Israeli teenage boys in Cyprus has told how she was having consensual sex with one of them when his friends burst in an attacked her.

The 19-year-old claims some of the boys did not use condoms and ‘hurt my whole body’ during the ordeal before she fled in tears to friends who comforted her while waiting for police.

‘She was in tears and just so distressed,’ a friend told MailOnline. ‘She told me straight away that she had agreed to have sex with one of the Israeli men and then the others all ran into the room.

‘She said they took it in turns and it was all of them. They held her down. When I saw her she was covered with bruises.’

A British woman, 19, has told how she went to an Ayia Napa hotel room to see some Israeli boys she knew before she was gang raped. Instagram posts reveal one of the men had been flirting beforehand (his messages in grey), and invited her to his room several times

The woman, who cannot be identified, said the attack took place on Wednesday night in this guest bedroom (top left) of the Pambos Napa Rocks Hotel in Ayia Napa

The alleged rape took place in a second floor room at the Pambos Napa Rocks Hotel in Ayia Napa on Wednesday that was occupied by an 18-year-old Israeli and two friends.

The victim, from the North of England who cannot be identified for legal reasons, had willingly gone to the room having struck up a close friendship with the teen at around midnight after a night of drinking.

She has admitted to police in Cyprus that she had sex with him on several prior occasions before the alleged rape.

Her account was published by Israel’s Channel 13, based on her interviews with police investigators.

She exchanged flirty Instagram messages with one of the Israeli men before the attack

She said: ‘I knew some of the boys and we did have a relationship, but when I got to the room around midnight, everyone was drunk, I remember everything was blurred.

‘I do remember that until about 1:00am, the friends I did not know raped me, some of them with a condom – and some of them without. They hurt my whole body.

‘One of them held me, and then I saw at least 12 faces … for an hour or so, one after the other.

‘I was released at a certain point after I had fainted, and I ran out of the room, met friends and they took me half naked to the clinic.’

Police were called and arrested the Israelis, before they were hauled into court on Thursday where a judge ruled they can be held in detention for eight days while officers examine DNA evidence they have provided. They all deny rape.

Instagram messages have also been published revealing how one of the Israeli teenagers accused had been flirting with her for days including inviting her up to his room.

In one exchange, the boy messages to say ‘good morning my love’ before asking the woman where she is. ‘Let’s hang out a bit,’ he says.

In another, the alleged victim messages to say ‘I think I just saw you on the balcony’, to which the man responds: ‘So why did you not come up to me?’

‘Haha I waved,’ she responds before he says ‘you should have gone up to my room.’ ‘Come to me in the evening,’ he says several hours later.

Friends at the hotel told how the woman had flown to the party resort of Ayia Napa for summer work and spent her time relaxing by the pool.

The victim had been sharing a room with other girls who had also tried to find work for the summer.

After the alleged attack the girl ran down a flight of stairs to a communal area where up to 20 people lived.

Her friend, who asked not be named, said: ‘She was in a terrible state and had managed to put back on some of her clothes. There were tears pouring down her face and you could see the bruises on her body.

‘Someone called the police but we had to wait for the hotel staff to come down. She was taken away for examination.’

As friends comforted her she was taken to a medical clinic at one of the entrances to the hotel.

A police source confirmed that she has now been moved to a new hotel.

She is accompanied by a friend and has been assigned a counsellor to help her recover from the alleged ordeal. Consular officials from the British Embassy have also been in contact with the girl.

‘We are giving her every support that we can,’ said one of the investigating officers rom Ayia Napa police station.

‘She is free to return home but we hope that she stays here while the investigation is continuing.

Other girls living at the Pambos Napa Rock hotel have told how they were constantly pestered for sex by Israeli men staying at the budget hotel.

‘One of my friends was asleep in her room an Israeli came in and demanded sex. She screamed at him to get out, but the management do not seem to care.’

Another male worker said a friend of his was followed into the ladies toilet and proposition for sex.

‘He just held out some Euros and said he wanted sex. It is disgusting.’

British tourists staying at the hotel said females were outnumbered by about 5-1 by males, mostly Israeli men in their late teens and early 20s.

‘It is just creepy here and I can’t wait to go home,’ said one 18 year old from Lancashire.

‘The Israeli men come up behind you and just stand there. Not many of them speak English and it is creepy. I had no idea that it was like here. I do not feel safe.

‘My mum will be going crazy knowing I’m at a hotel where a rape took place.’

Lawyers for six of the men arrested and held in custody said they were confident the would be cleared following an investigation.

Yannis Habri, who represents four of the men aged from 16-20 told MailOnline he thought the allegations had been ‘exaggerated.’

He denied that his four clients had been assaulted by police and said they were being treated well.

The parents of several of the men held until another court hearing next Friday have flown to Cyprus to support their sons.
