In US news, things got heated in the Pennsylvania capitol when Senate Majority Leader Jake Corman (Republican) shouted loudly over State Senator Katie Muth. Muth was reading a letter from formerly homeless man about using Pennsylvania‘s General Assistance funds to pay for basic services like toothpaste and bus fare. Muth was speaking out against a bill that would end funding for Pennsylvania‘s poorest citizens. All but 2 GOP state senators voted to end the program.
