This was Manuel Oliver’s message at a candlelit vigil. 2 weeks after the school shooting that killed 17 people, including Oliver’s own teenage son Joaquin, ‘We were lucky enough to have Joaquin share his beautiful life for the past 17 years. Last week, somehow Joaquin stopped being with us… We are going to be Joaquin ‘Guac’ Oliver’s parents forever. And we are going to fight this battle until our last day. Me, Patricia, and any parent here – we, the parents.’
