It’s time for the Green New Deal now. We’re facing two major issues: Climate change and stagnant wages among growing inequality. The Green New Deal could tackle both problems. As Robert Reich says, ‘A Green New Deal would provide massive investments in the clean energy infrastructure necessary to cut carbon pollution.’ This would create good paying jobs and revitalize the economy. The proposal would tax carbon polluters, creating incentives for companies to cut their fossil fuel use and switch to clean energy. The tax revenue would then be invested in new constructions, energy efficiency, deforestation, and industry training.
