Brett Kavanaugh U.S. District Court of Appeals

On Monday, Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh voted with the majority to not review cases involving Planned Parenthood. A divided court turned down appeals backed by 13 conservative states that aimed to defund Planned Parenthood.

The cases, Gee v. Planned Parenthood and Andersen v. Planned Parenthood, don’t directly touch on abortion, but rather concern the question of a individual’s right to sue the state if it decides to not allow Medicaid to cover expenses at Planned Parenthood specifically.

In the U.S. it is illegal in most cases to use federal money like Medicaid to pay for abortions, but these states wanted to go further, cutting off all Medicaid funding to Planned Parenthood because the association performs abortions among other health services.

Kavanaugh’s vote against hearing the case was notable since it was his first abortion-related case. Many Christian fundamentalists supported Kavanaugh’s confirmation because of his pro-life views.

Now they are disappointed and furious – and they’re out for Kavanaugh’s blood.

World Net Daily‘s Joseph Farah writes, “Now we know, for certain, that Brett Kavanaugh is a fraud. He should never have been President Trump’s first choice. He’s a weakling. He buckled to the extreme left to salvage his own reputation. I had a bad feeling about this guy – ever since his role in the Vincent Foster cover-up and his tutelage by former independent counsel Kenneth Starr.”
