Cofounder & Executive Director of the African American Policy Forum, Kimberlé Crenshaw describes the Say Her Name campaign that launched in May 2015. #SayHerName “lifts up the stories of Black women who have been killed by the police but have been sidelined in the public discourse about race and police violence. And by so doing broadens the demands for effective policy responses to all of the circumstances that place Black women at risk,” says Krenshaw.
